CASE STUDY
Virtual Tour Gallery
Designing an accessible mobile-first experience
for virtual art exploration.

Background
The Virtual Art Gallery App offers an immersive, accessible way to explore exhibitions remotely—browse virtual rooms, view artworks in detail, and discover the stories behind each piece through a simple, intuitive experience.
Goals
I designed the app from concept to prototype while completing 8 Google UX courses. My responsibilities included user research, wireframing, visual design, and usability testing, ensuring the interface was intuitive, inclusive, and engaging for all users.
Purpose & Problem
To create an inclusive, accessible version of the LocateMotion app that empowers seniors to live independently while keeping caregivers informed. The human-centered design enhances trust, clarity, and comfort, making technology easy and supportive for elderly users in healthcare environments.
Duration
Completed as part of the Google UX Design Certificate, an 8-course program focused on UX research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
Role & Responsibilities
Served as the UI/UX Designer within a cross-functional team at Markitech, owning the full design process from discovery to delivery including user research, wireframing, prototyping, developer hand-off, and cross-platform UI. Became the sole designer as the product approached launch, taking full ownership through to completion.

Usability Testing & Insights
Conducted user interviews and usability testing with multiple caregivers and elderly patients (ages 59–83). Key findings drove the following design decisions:
- Simplified navigation and reduced the number of steps to reach key actions, addressing user feedback that "too many steps are involved to get a reading"
- Redesigned the login flow to minimize typing, replacing text-heavy inputs with large-tap, icon-based interactions
- Introduced progressive disclosure to hide non-essential information and reduce cognitive load
- Prioritized the "How are you today" check-in at the top of the screen based on direct user feedback
Outcome
The outcome: Optimized a cross-platform healthcare ecosystem for hospitals and caregivers, streamlining real-time patient monitoring and emergency alerts while ensuring a high accessibility tablet experience for elderly users.
